This "mega biblion, mega kakon" by one of Woodrow Wilson's teachers lays out the intellectual and legal basis of Progressive Fascism. For Professor Ely, individual liberty and private property existed only at the sufferance of the godlike State. His influence has been wide, lasting and pernicious.
