This had so much potential and just fell flat. The time travel part confused me and the writing just didn't do it for me.½

A fast paced fun read that doesn't take itself too seriously. Don't go looking for Anne Rice vampires or any impressive literature, sorry Mr. Edwards. Just toss away reality and dive into this sexy series but have the other two books handy because these are like eating potato chips.

It's not looking good for Josh, Glory and their small band of survivors.

A nice piece of porn with some decent comedic moments. You think of the kink and it's probably in there.

This was a fun, light-hearted little mystery. I had a few smiles at Michael and Jazz. The snark kept the story moving when the plot got a little thin. I loved Musgrave!

I loved Everly and Sabrina. The comedic spin kept this story moving at a good pace. The ending was great and the cast of characters made me laugh. Well done!

I didn't enjoy this book as much as the first one. I was very disappointed in who the killer was. Michael and Jazz lost some of their shine also. I'm not sorry that I read the story though I just expected more than I got.

I love this series, and I love this book- I do. However, it drives me crazy when after 4 books suddenly there are all sorts of inconsistencies around names, ages, locations, etc of Cody's family. Such a big deal was made about where his parents lived, their ages, his brother's and now magically it's all changed. UGH

There was much to enjoy about this novel. Unique voice, fewer cliche monsters than I dared hope for, and good characters - although the mostly faceless generic natives grated. It took me awhile to read mostly because I was raised on westerns (books and TV) so you should be impressed that I finished reading this one.

The missing star is because the end was not satisfying. This is not my first romance series with a continuing couple. I've seen those dot-dot-dot endings done much better.

The upside for other readers is the trilogy is complete, but I don't care to continue.

Technical note: this is a 56 page story, so a novelette, I suppose. The last 15% of the kindle file is an excerpt from a different author's work. I liked the MC, which is why I read it. But no one has lives outside their work apparently, which makes for thin characterization. It reminded me to not bother with this author's work, but YMMV of course.

DNF, bailing at 22% after once again being told how a character feels after being shown same. This is probably entertaining to less picky readers, so don't let my review keep you from giving it a try!

Fake Date Flip-Flop is part of the ‘Williamsville Inn’ series. It stars Nash Ward and Tobias Hudson. The story is told in third person through both Nash and Tobias’ povs.

3.5 Stars

This book was part of a Prolific Works giveaway composed of one hundred and eighty authors who offered their stories for free.

I enjoyed this short story. It transpires over a weekend at a hotel where people frequently find their HEA partners. In this book, Nash is at the hotel to attend his niece’s wedding, and Tobias is there for a class reunion. They first meet at the check-in counter. After eating dinner together, Tobias suggests they each pretend to be the other person’s fake date to each event. Nash is skeptical at first but agrees. The plot is about the men navigating their attraction while pretending to be boyfriends when in fact they don’t know anything about the other person.

The author did a good job with the characters. Each of their personalities are distinct and carries throughout the story. Both men are in their forties and I liked that this book was about older men. Nash is what Tobias calls, ‘Gruff Daddy.’ He considers things carefully. Part of that is due to the recent break up of a long relationship. Tobias is more spontaneous and laughs easily. There’s instant lust at first sight on both Nash and Tobias’ parts. I also like the side characters.

This a quick, fluffy, read with a HEA that takes place after the events at the hotel. This is a new to me author. I liked the premise of this story enough to raise my curiosity about the other books in the series. I want to give this book 3.5 Stars, but since Goodreads doesn’t allow half stars, I’ll give this 4 Stars.

I think after the first book I have come more to terms with how Michael and Jazz think and what drives them. I just can’t understand why the men in these books are always eaten alive by their pasts and not concentrating on the good things they could have in their futures. Anyway...the sheriff is becoming one of the best characters in this series. He is a hoot! The mysteries in the first book as well as in this one are very good. This one had a surprising end and kept me reading. I finished it in one sitting which isn’t unusual but I usually try to drag it out with characters that I really like.½

I had never read anything by this author but when I dug around in my “treasure chest” of books, I see my two friends have several of his books including the next in this series. I liked the characters and the plot but the title is a tad misleading and there were parts where I became a bit bored waiting for the action to go on and less talk. I can say that it often made me laugh and sometimes there were elements of slapstick comedy in the midst of dramatic and/or dire situations. That took some getting used to. Overall, it was a fun read. Rather like watching an old 1930's comedy murder mystery movie. Will certainly go on to book #2 in the series. Oh...and Mr. Pickles Furryton, the Third... was simple adorable. (Meow)

Paranormal comedy
Don't take this too seriously
High body count
The werewolf is kinda obvious once you've caught the red herring
THIS IS NOT A ROMANCE. The MCs have sex with other people right at The End of the book.

I thought that this book was a perfect mix of ridiculous, funny, silly, sweet, and thrilling. I mean, really, it was a lot of fun and really exciting to read.

I think that Micheal and Jazz are a great couple, and I think that they are going to have a lot of staying power. They didn't have instalove, which isn't a problem one way or the other, but it was really kind of an organic way for the the relationship to go.

I really hope that we get to see more of these guys as an ongoing series as main characters, instead of side characters in later books.

It's nice to see Jazz and Michael again. They are just as delightful the second time around, and I still want so much more of them. I really like the fact that they have such a great relationship. It wasn't necessarily insta-love, it developed nicely and organically. I also really like that we get to see the guys having problems with their relationship and figuring out how to get around those bumps and bruises. It makes it feel that much more realistic to me.

I can't wait until we get the next story. It can't come fast enough.

A good story about a love that transcends time. I loved the MCs as well as the supporting cast. The epilogue left me with a fleeting melancholy twinge.

At one point in this story one of the characters exclaims "It's like a Spanish telenovela in here tonight"—and that is exactly the level of drama, hidden goings-on, and revelations you need to be ready for when reading this book. It starts with bartender Floyd, a man who loves to f*ck but has never really dated, and spirals downward from there. Whether it's the sleazy bar owner or the slutty bus boy, everyone tries to maintain an image of "high morals" but secretly… you'll have to read it to believe it!

Floyd makes no secret of the fact he likes men, but doesn’t want to commit. Every new guy he meets is a potential bed partner, at least for one night, and he is enjoying himself immensely. Or so he thinks. And anyway, all that ends when Gavin walks into the bar. Floyd is smitten, feels a deeper connection, and promptly f*cks it up. It takes him a while to gather the courage to try to fix it, but by then it may be too late…

Gavin is an interesting character, even if I found out way less about him than I wanted. It probably would have interrupted the flow of the story, and the energy it was building, but still. He intrigued me, and if the author's purpose was to make him appear "dark and mysterious", that objective was achieved in spades. When the man leaves in a huff, he does so extremely effectively.

If you like stories about men who tend to mess everything up because they are a little more cowardly than they'd like to admit to themselves before they finally man up, if you enjoy dramatic scenes with lots of very fun secondary characters, and if you're looking for a read that will have your head spin with all the connections and pseudo connections between several men, then you will probably enjoy this short story. I think it's a great mix between hilarious and (almost) sappily romantic.

OMG! This book. I think if you took out all the sex, the book would only be about 50 pages long, so, there's really not much of a plot, but as silly as it was, I couldn't stop reading it. There was something about Charlie, the sweet, clumsy new fluffer at Fluffer's Inc. and his adventures in the world of porn. There were also some fun supporting characters and a bit of a mystery and lots and lots of sex (I skimmed a lot, I mean there's only so many ways you can describe people having sex before you start having to repeat yourself), so if you want something silly and fun and full of sex -- this is the book for you!

Another wonderful tale of FBI Special Agent Aaron Pearce and his lover Mark Beecher. Those silly boys find themselves in another pickle!

Highly recommended to all fans of this series, that goes without saying, and the entire series Up to Trouble is also recommended to all lovers of M/M romance. These boys are sinfully hot and the adventures they find themselves in are riveting. I hope [a:Hank Edwards|4590885|Hank Edwards|http://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1366194525p2/4590885.jpg] keeps them coming!

What is probably the first you notice in Cowboys & Vampires, the first adventure in the Venom Valley series, is the horror: a living dead zombie, a man who is forced to "kill again" the woman he has always considered his mother, the difficult of trying to scind the memories of the good time past and the present horror. Sincerely I'm not a fan of horror stories, so the first instinct should have been to not continue with the reading, but there was something in Josh, an innocence and naivete that was a stark contrast with the horror.

And as soon as Dex enters the scene, I was bought. Josh's secret, the hidden force that linked me to him, was now clear, it was Dex. The boys growing old together, both of them having feeling for each other, both of them not having the courage to say it. But the horrific events, instead of tearing them apart, is the reason to finally come true. The sweetness of their love was the right counterbalance for the horror and the main reason why I wanted to go on and see what happened.

A small warning, Cowboys & Vampires more than a first novel in the series, is a first part of the story, to fully enjoy it you have probably to read it together with the second installment, Stakes and Spurs.
