Have you heard of the Sharknado film franchise? Sub out the sharks for a buttload of sex toys (pun intended), glaze with a mysterious electrical charge that heightens sexual arousal... and you have this book.

Honestly, that was all I expected, and that would have been enough, but C.J. Douglas gives us memorable characters in the form of two priests who try to rein in the moral corruption of Layton, Pennsylvania, and a female meteorologist who has thoughts on how they might ride this one out.

Lets talk about the sex. It is wonderful - initially cartoonish and exaggerated in its nature, like the violence in the aforementioned shark films, but it becomes more sensual, even primal, as we get to know the cast better, and the climactic scene - in a church, of course - is totally worth the price of admission.

You'll laugh, you'll cry and you'll wish all natural disasters could be this fulfilling!
