this Czech language publication is probably the most authoritative work on current practice, at least as far as the PCC-type cars mass-produced by CKD Tatra Smichov are concerned. Various parts of the book have already appeared elsewhere; the first deals the basic function of a tramway system and compares its performance with that of others modes. The second surveys current developments abroad, and it is most interesting to see the parameters of Düwag cars compared with modern Chinese cars. The remainder of the book is a detailled description of the T3 tramcar and its articulated derivatives (P.J. Walker)
