I love biographies about unusual, interesting or totally unconventional people even if that includes a touch of madness as well. I have seen them as short as 125 pages and as long as over 600. So depending on the writer and how wordy he/she is, and the details of a person's life that they feel they need to include in a book, you can garner what you need or want to know in a shorter book such as this one.

If you need to know what time the subject went to the bathroom, her favorite fruit, how many men she dated and every other picayune thing then opt for one of those mega biographies.

This one was the right size, it took me everything I wanted to know exactly there was absolutely no mention whatsoever about dating, sex, proposals. It only said she never married, and some people thought she was bisexual.
