Cajun Nights. (An Andy Broussard/Kit Franklyn mystery). D.J. Donaldson. Another cheap Kindle book that doesn’t quite live up the hype. Broussard is the medical examiner for the city of New Orleans, and has hired Kit as a suicide-research investigator to profile suicide victims. Normal people are suddenly going crazy and attacking their families, total strangers and work colleagues and committing suicide. The plot is certainly unique and the historical and Cajun touches are fascinating. The descriptions of setting up and arson site and of how firemen get ready to go on a call were too detailed and seemed to be used to pad the plot. This is the author’s first novel and the others in the series may be better.… (más)
