I found this book to be absolutely fascinating. Whether you’re interested in history, theology, or just curious about what came before the major monotheistic religions of today, you’ll be intrigued by this book. It was easy to read (despite being quite a long book), and it didn’t read as dryly as I feared it would. This was engaging, well researched, and easy to understand. I got so immersed in it, before I knew what was happening, I was a few chapters in. Highly recommend this book to all curious readers, even if you don’t have previous experience with religious studies.
