If one wants to read a story of a stirring success story, this is one such. Wisconsin Central is a tale of how two men took over a selection of track from other railroads and built a success story through the simple tactic of personal contact and delivering what they promised. Incidentally, along the way, they upgraded their railroad plant to considerably higher standards. That the railroad was ultimately absorbed by one of the "big 7" is no disparagement to them. Naturally, it wasn't the two alone who did all this but they were the motivators that fostered the can-do spirit of the employees. Vision is not guaranteed but when it appears, it is a sight to behold.… (más)
