A collection a short stories set in the 50s that look at the friendship between an aboriginal girl Edie and a white girl growing up in Western Australia. Looks at the issue of “stolen generation” because the aboriginal girl lives with her aunt (her mother abandoned her) and every time the authorities try to take her, the white family hides her.
