I read only a few of these essays: on the symbolism of Roses and Rivers: here Rama Nair says rightly that „the world created in fiction engenders a comprehension of a deeper reality within the ‘real’ world we live“. Then on ‘Language dancing’: Arundhati Roy’s extraordinary play with the English language, on Colonial History and contemporary Social Dynamics, …; perhaps I will read others but I have an intuitive reluctance against over-analysation: in gaining something you may loose something else as well.

I didn’t buy this book, it was a present from the British Library at a time when generosity still existed (I assume that they had no use for it as it is not published in Britain). (VII-18)… (más)
