This book is quite informational. It tells a story of a boy named Buster who learns that his mother is going to give him a baby sister very soon. Buster gets upset and runs away for a couple days in the Outback. During those days he meets other animals and befriends them and eventually finds his way home. The book is fiction, but also nonfiction. It tells a story and also tells facts about kangaroo so the person can read and learn while reading.
The biology isn't bad, considering the provenance of this series
