This book is about a small elephant-like creature and her attitude towards what it means to be lucky. Specific events related to her special hat cause her to believe she is very unlucky, but as her day comes to an end she realizes that she is indeed very lucky to be safe, loved, and cared for by others. This book isn't particularly good at portraying that message to a young audience, mostly because it is not clear until the very last page... But if I was guiding a discussion on this book and talking about how we look at our own days and how "lucky" we are, this book would make a good read allowed or precursor to another book that might portray the message a little better.… (más)
