Biografía breve
Myriam Revault d’Allonnes is a French professor of philosophy. She holds a doctorate in philosophy from the Université Paris I and taught for many years at the Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes in Paris. She is also an associate researcher at the Centre d'Étude de la Vie Politique Française (Center for the Study of French Political Life) or CEVIPOF, at the Ecole de Sciences Politique (known as Sciences Po). She taught at the Graduate School of Sciences at Science Po and was Program Director at the International College of Philosophy from 1986 to 1992. From 2006 to 2013, she directed the children's philosophy collection Chouette! Penser published by Gallimard. She is a regular contributor to the magazine Esprit and was a member of the 2008 White Paper Commission on Foreign and European Policy of France and the 2012 Jury of the Consensus Conference on the Prevention of Recidivism .

Since 2015, she has chaired the Philosophy and Psychoanalysis-Religious Sciences Commission of the National Book Center.

A specialist in ethical and political philosophy, her early research focused on the Reign of Terror during the French Revolution, in works such as D'une mort à l'autre: précipices de la Révolution (From One Death to Another: Precipices of the Revolution, 1989). She has questioned the concept of the "banality of evil" in the works of Hannah Arendt and has written on the ideas of truth, authority, crisis, and democracy. Her other books include
Ce que l’homme fait à l’homme: Essai sur le mal politique (What Man Does to Man: Essay on Political Evil, 1995; La crise sans fin: Essai sur l’expérience moderne du temps (The Endless Crisis, 2012); Le miroir et la scène: Ce que peut la représentation politique (The Mirror and the Stage, 2016), and La politique expliquée à nos enfants (Politics Explained to Our Children, 2017).
