Effectively an encyclopaedia entry with oversize pictures. It's evident most of the pictures are publicity stills and celebrity shots, but I wouldn't expect to find more than one or two rare photos in such a book.

I liked that Cary Grant remained a consistent friend even after she retired, visiting her in Monaco. And I question the assertion that Hitch had an obsession with her, doesn't square with his personality as I understand it.

The filmography is handy. I surely did not realise how brief was her career, given her marriage to Prince Ranier. There are a few films I've not seen but should track down: A Country Girl; Swan; and the musical remake of Philadelphia Story, High Society with Frank Sinatra & Bing Crosby.

Ironic that Princess Grace died after sustaining a minor stroke while driving her car down the winding Monaco road featured in To Catch A Thief.… (más)
