A young girl sets out each day to see what she'll see. Wearing her magical coat, she bumps into a giant, a swan, a ship's captain and crew, a wizard, three bunnies, and a small elf. Using her coat's buttons that all have a different power, she helps them. This sweet rhyming story is a favorite from my childhood. It has a great message about sacrificing things for yourself in order to help those in need as well as beautiful illustrations.

My friend gave me a big swirly coat, and I've got the buttons that match the story; and attached them with Velcro. This is a vivid read at storytime. The kids love it.

Preschool-Thirsty Baby drinks his bottle, but it's not enough, so he swallows the water in the bathtub, the pond, the river, and finally the ocean. When grandpa searches for another source of water, the baby burps and assures everyone that he has had enough-at least until bedtime.

this is a great lesson for predictions and how the students can grasp any other body of water or water related systems.
