There are fairytales that are sweet stories of love that has to overcome some minor obstacles like pride and vanity on the heroine's part to come into bloom. There are also those fairytales that throw in a little or quite a bit more horror besides, presenting evil villains that need to be overcome by humanity's better and stronger side to reach a happy ending. In the original Little Red Riding Hood, an innocent young girl and her grandmother are threatened by hungry wolves, to be saved at the end by the brave woodsman.
The Taming of Red Riding admirably combines all these ingredients into an amazing bdsm erotica flavoured retelling. Amelia Riding starts out innocent, young and bratty, but with a strong attraction to the fierce and hardy Tim Woodman whom she can freely admire chopping wood whenever she visits her grandmother's cottage nearby, carrying a basket with goodies from her parent's house. Wolves in various guises threaten a happy conclusion to the tale, but the moral of the story is, the woodcutter is the one you can rely on to save the day.
This story's bdsm activities and rationale may be too harsh for those readers who prefer their fairy tales sweet and bloodless. As it is a Little Red Riding Hood tale retelling, for my part, I would say, the original elements of loss of innocence/virginity, coming to terms with a sometimes harsh reality and the overcoming of evil are perfectly rendered in this story. Plus, a lumberjack who knows what he's doing is not to be underestimated... Yummy!
Very well done, and recommended!
