Living aboard is a no nonsense guide to the realities of narrow boat ownership. It has been carefully crafted into sections that address most if not all the issues you will encounter. It offers good advice and should be read by all prospective narrow boat owners.

Starts a little slowly, but then hits his stride as Nick describes the often slow journey by narrow boat from Skipton in North Yorks to his home near Oxford. Along the way lots of interesting places and characters are described, often in amusing detail. It also provides a more serious look at some of Britain's most important and impressive industrial architecture and the visionaries who created it
