A good update on an old Sherlockian Mystery.½

A suitable ending for this very good pastiche series in the Sherlockian Canon.

Lots of to and froing as well as much hither and yoning, before this Sherlockian affair gets sorted out. But another good yarn from this independent and consistently good master of Holmesian pastiche.

One of the best in this very good series. Faithful to the Canon spiced with some very feisty women. Sherlock is challenged successfully by the ladies , Watson shines and the “All Blacks” begin their rise to Rugby immortality.

A good entry in this fun series½

This series sustains well with this installment as Holmes sets out to find out why three Oxfordians are in custody for crimes they may not have committed despite the compelling evidence and their confessions.½

Another nefarious plot against England. by the dynamic duo of Watson and Holmes. And, we find out much about the battles of Admiral Nelson. Good history, good story.

Another good entry in this Sherlockian canonical series. Three mysterious women clients seemed to all have a problem in common. Holmes and Watson sort of sort it out.½

This series continues to be my go-to collection when I need a change of pace. Sherlock meets his match in this convoluted investigation of a log-ago crime spawning a series of current deaths.

His country "****"" serve Sherlock well in this quite good episode. Nicely seeded with historic content

Right on for the time and the canon

OK but not one of Copland's best

A visit to Wandsworth Prison is of sufficient interest for Holmes to undertake and try to gain a reprieve for a convicted killer. As the crime is 5 years old, execution is imminent and much sleuthing is required. Even, in hurry-up mode, logic prevails and the crime is solved.

The safe haven of Baker St. is invaded as 5 mysterious strangers move in across the street. Are they a threat? Indeed, they are multiple threats and require Holmes, Watson, some irregulars, and even the police to make the neighborhood safe again.½

Watson on his own and Holmes muddles through½

Very well done and nicely fills a void in the Sherlockian Canon

A really zippy plot and lots of strange characters make this one of the best so far in this quite good series. Do Buddist monks really eat Irish stew; what a great clue. The ending has two surprises both pleasant.½

Not as good as the other entries in this ambitious and very good series.

Interesting mystery and we get to go to the First Modern Olympics in Greece.

Nicely done with great involvement of the Irregulars

Very uneven collection of Holmes stories--some are quite good, others not so much, and some are borderline unreadable.

Another very good entry in this excellent series. Irony is an excellent literary device and it is very suitably utilized in this retelling of an apt biblical story.

The best of these Sherlockian Pastiches by Copland to date. Holmesian in style and flavor but enriched by some very interesting characters with an energetic and plausible storyline.½

Another nice historically based mystery with a Nero Wolfe like finish.½
