"Words can save lives. " A book about the life of Anna Politkovskaya, a reporter in the USSR and then in Russia. The book is told from the perspective of her longtime friend and dissident (who I'm not sure is a real person). Politkovskaya is dedicated to telling stories of those who have been marginalized and suffering. She does much of her work trying to report on the Chechen War and faces threats and assassin attempts. A short read (100p) that is insightful about recent history and a journalist for Novaya Gazeta, a free paper that had number of reporters executed.… (más)
