This was a kind-of enjoyable read. There were some really odd word choices that might be editing issues in some cases. I found the FMC to be not very relatable and kind of bitchy. The MMC was mostly not accessible then suddenly accessible. Bit of an odd trope, though the author included some good hooks for later books.

The sex is completely off page, almost ellipsis (i.e. "he closed the door with his booted heel.....) then abrupt change of chapter. There were some other abrupt transitions.

I will probably read the rest of the series.

Ok this is a bit better than #1... but still some seriously odd word choices ... editing could be better. Sex is less explicit than most.

the end needs a little work and I still see some editing issues with wording. But overall the quality is improving.

FInally able to connect more with the overarching story. Still a bit "ugh" with the dad that had kids with two different women at the same time. Yuck.

Ending is still abrupt, and there are still kinda major word editing issues.

GLARING MEDICAL ERROR!!!

Under no circumstances should a diabetic drink skim milk to "bring up their bg". It won't work and could send you to the hospital.

Also, it is clear that to the plot, his feelings and experiences are more important than hers. Not much of a love story there. He should have had to grovel WAY more. I ended up the book angry. Also still editing and wording errors.

I didn't like the hero at all.

This is a quick read that pulls you in and doesn't let go until you're finished. It is well written with a little overlap from the previous book. Sofia is a likable heroine trying to find herself and overcome a cheating ex husband. Jared is a sexy cowboy hiding from his past. The chemistry between these two is hot. I loved this story and can't wait to read more about the Nirvana ranch.

If there is a real place out there like Nirvana, I want to go! Ms. Carver does a wonderful job describing the beautiful setting of this story. The characters are very likable and well written. The secondary characters are interesting and add humor. (I can't wait to read about them!) This is a great story that is a quick, easy read.

This is a somewhat predictable story. The characters are likable. However, I felt some events and changes happened too quickly. And, Ben's issue wasn't explored enough to be resolved. I would've liked to have seen how Ben came to terms with his guilt and his reunion with his parents. Otherwise, the story was enjoyable.

This story has a bit of everything. There's humor, passion, secrets and conflict. It is well written, perfectly paced and captivating. The characters are relatable, endearing and have great chemistry. Ms. Carver did a wonderful job with this book. I highly recommend it if you like stories on the steamy side.

This is a wonderful, heartwarming story that you won't be able to put down. It is well written with a little of everything: suspense, mystery, lust and sex. The characters are easy to relate to and likable. I really enjoyed Ms. Carver's writing style and vivid descriptions. This is a great start for the Buttermilk Valley series. I can't wait to read more!

Chance and Carly are given a second chance at love after Carly tumbles down the stairs at her father’s house and develops amnesia wiping out her memory of marriage and a baby that died. Carly’s amnesia allows the she and Chance, her ex-husband, to get back together and live under the same roof while she attempts to regain her memory. Perhaps not the most realistic story but one that is well written and that had me rooting for the couple to make it work this second time around.
