Jaye Carroll

Funny and poignant novel about a woman who discovers what's important in her life by having her husband go to Finland to work for a while and having her bad job turn to horrible. A good read but light as a feather.

Again a novel that could have been set anywhere but just happens to be set in Dublin. There is an essay by Ursula Le Guin about Fantasy worlds and how they lack specialness and could as easily be set in Ploughskepie as a Fantasy world (the name of the essay escapes me but she's not nice in it about Katherine Kurtz!) this seems to have permiated to fiction.… (más)
