Alex Carreras

This was a fun, quick read about a reformed orphan, Jared, looking to start over in sunny Florida with his brother. He meets hot cop Grant, newly divorced and not quite out of the closet, and they very quickly fall in love.

My complaints about this book are that is could have been so much better if the author would have fleshed out the story and made it a bit longer. Mr. Carreras gave us a peek at an undercover sting operation run by Grant and his partners that Jared inadvertently gets in the middle of and it literally lasts about half a page. What a missed opportunity, in my option. And Jared and Grant only have two dates in the entire story. But I still really enjoyed it. The MCs were wonderful, and I love my cops. The story also includes a great epilogue, which I absolutely love and gave the rating an extra star.

Recommended if you like partially closeted cops who take a bit longer than most to see the light of day, reformed bad boys looking for love, sex on the beach (and I'm not talking about the cocktail!) and headstrong tweens.… (más)
