I really liked this. It was completely predictable, but at the same time, hard to put down. You knew what was going to happen, but it was just so much fun reading it. Elle and Max were a great couple. They started out as enemies. She's a publicist for the hockey team he plays for and he's just enough trouble to jeep her busy. He's got baby mama drama and Elle helps him out. We get to see them bond over the baby. It's a sweet, quick read that left me smiling.

I didn't love Trace at first. He was kind of mean, rude, and closed off. But he slowly grew to love both his son and his nanny. It was sweet to watch. And even though Nikki seemed to have it all together, it was nice to see how she needed Trace and Mickey as much as they needed her. This was a sweet story.

Kinda slow, but also kinda good. This story starts out with the sheriff of a small town arriving home and finding a woman asleep on his couch. She turns out to be the late home owners daughter who wants to sell the house but had no idea a Sheriff Nate had rented it. Then they find a baby on the doorstep. Michelle stays to help Nate take care of it. They end up falling in love, but she had planned only on passing through town on her way to bigger and better things in LA. She has to decide what's more important. Both characters had the requisite baggage holding them back, but they slowly worked their way into each other's hearts. Toss a baby in the mix and the love story is even sweeter.

"3.5 out of 5 stars. This sweet romance brings together two people who are at the low points of their lives who turn to each other when it looks like no one else would understand/help them."

Very emotional book. Katrina is the nanny for her godfather's children and is helping to care for a visiting child. When his parents disappear in a storm, his uncle Julian comes to get him and take him home to Kardana. Young Sammy isn't handling it well and Julian is out of his depth so he asks Katrina to come along and help. Katrina is drawn to Julian but needs to keep her distance. She has things in her past that could come back to haunt her.

I really liked both Katrina and Julian. Katrina is a caring and compassionate young woman. She is fiercely protective of Sammy and has no problem standing up for what she feels is right. She is also protective of others she loves, and tries to stay out of the public eye because of mistakes she made in her past. She is attracted to Julian but afraid of what could happen.

Julian is trying to cope with his grief and the sudden need to fill his brother's shoes. He uses logic and reasoning to make decisions and the sudden influx of emotions is messing with his usual way of doing things. Katrina's compassion gives him a safe place to escape to. He is attracted to her but feels he has too much going on to have any kind of serious relationship.

The attraction that they feel for each other and act on they each feel will be short lived. Katrina doesn't trust that her past will stay in the past and Julian feels he has too much else going on for a real relationship. When the tabloid press get involved, Katrina feels that her fears have come to pass. Julian tries to convince her to stay, but goes about it in the wrong way. I was happy to see that Katrina had the courage to stand up for what was right for her. Julian was so overwhelmed with running the kingdom that he ignored what was happening to him. And when he finally realized it, he didn't want to admit it because it was just one more thing piled up on him. It wasn't until Katrina was gone that he realized how much he needed her. I loved seeing him go after her and convince her of his feelings.

Stolen Kiss From a Prince was a relaxed, easy read, but unfortunately had little or no impact on me. It needed to be revved up a notch or two. There were a few scenes in the book that I found touching, but the storyline was lacking depth and very predictable with no crescendo of excitement. The implausible storyline was interesting, but only lukewarm. This is not a book that I would enthusiastically recommend. 3 Stars.

Very good book. Amanda and Xavier were drawn to each other as soon as they met. He also thought she looked very familiar and sent her picture to his Prince. Although he knew he should keep his distance Xavier couldn't stay away and they very quickly became close. After a surreptitious DNA test it was discovered that Amanda was his daughter and Xavier was charged with protecting her and bringing her to Pasadonia.

I really liked both Xavier and Amanda. Amanda had been brought up by her grandparents after her mother died in childbirth. They were older and set in their ways. They were also kind of cold and unemotional. Amanda was thrilled when she got a job that enable her to move out on her own and finally have a bit of freedom. When she and her friend Michelle went to an exhibit of the Pasadonian jewels she was flattered by Xavier's interest and really attracted to him. I loved the way that being with him gave Amanda a greater sense of herself and what she wanted. There was something about him that gave her the strength to stand up to her grandmother and insist on getting more information about her parents. When Xavier broke the news about the identity of her father she was hurt and angry because she felt that he had been lying to her about his feelings just to watch over her. I loved seeing them together in Pasadonia and how Amanda learned so much about Xavier and what kind of man he was. I also loved the way that she finally had a family that showed their love and support for her. I also loved seeing the Prince deal with a grown up and independent daughter - such fun!

Xavier had always been a soldier focused on doing his duty. When he first saw Amanda he was drawn to her and wanted to get to know her. When he saw her resemblance to the Prince he knew he should step back in case she was royal, but he just couldn't do it. I loved his protectiveness and the care and respect he showed her from the beginning. I also liked the way that he could see her desire for the closeness that he had with his family. Xavier was torn between his growing love for Amanda and what he felt was his duty to his Prince and his country. The time they spent in Pasadonia only made the conflict harder. I loved his conversations with the Prince regarding Amanda. The conclusion was the perfect fairy tale ending for them both.

Baby Under the Christmas Tree by Teresa Carpenter
4 STARS
Baby Under the Christmas Tree has a play on Beauty and the Beast.
Elle Austin as little girl went to princess camp and she was Belle. She made some good friends thier. Elle had four brothers so she was always around sports and sports.
She wants different things in her adult life so she wants no sport loving guys and no athletes especially the Hocky team. Elle job is deputy of PR for hocky team.
She gets called in the middle of the night to go get some members out of jail.
One of them is Max Beasley better known as the Beast.
Max Beasley is a womanizer and star of the hockey team. When she takes him home they find a lady he doesn't know at his door with his two year old son.
Elle did not even know that he had a two year old son. He was tired and wanted his grandmother who was out of town with her male friend.
Troy's mother had droped him off with a friend and said she would be right back and never showed. So she brought him to his father.
Troy throws big tantroms when he does not get what he wants. Elle stays while Max goes to shower and he ends up falling asleep. She tried waking up Max. tried to put Troy down to bed by his dad, tried to put him in his own room. Troy wanted to sleep by his dad and her.
When Elle woke it was to find that her job for the day was to help Max to prepare to take full custdy of his son. Improve Beast public image and get his house ready for Max to live thier.
Troy has mostly been taken care of by his grandmother but she has a new male friend that lives out of town. Troy's mother just wants the child support and does not take care of him well. So the Grandmother thinks its good for Max to keep his son over her daughter and she will be free to move and still keep a relationship with her grandson. She won't have to worry about Troy not being cared for all the time.
Thier is one love scene in the book that I skipped over. It was a fast read.
I think that too many people wanted Elle to hook up with the Beast because she was Bell at a Camp when she was younger. The more I read I grew to really like Max. Troy is precious and I like Elle she is not afraid to stand up for herself or others. Elle knows what she wants and that she wont settle for less.
I was given this ebook to read in exchange of honest review by Netgalley.
