I enjoyed this Mail order bride type romance. This is another book in this set of Mail Order Bride series. I voluntarily chose to review this story, and I've given it a 4.5* rating. This has a bit of action in it, several things are going on around this small town and the ladies are at it again, mending broken hearts, and getting involved in other people's business. Because of sexual content, this is not for the under 18 readers. Well, onto the next in this series.
I enjoyed this Mail Order Bride Romance and I voluntarily chose to review it. I've given it a 4.5* rating, and this is not for the under 18 readers. This one has a bit of action in it, enough to turn the pages but not a lot of excitement. This is a lot about being family. Jed likes to think things through first. This is the second book in this set and was a nice evening's read.
I enjoyed this Mail Order Bride Romance. This is the first in the "New Mail Order Bride Series Vol 1" by Susan Leigh Carlton. It starts out with a bang (literally) and moves along fairly fast. I just thought the conversation was a little stilted. However, the storyline was good. I voluntarily chose to review this story and I've given it a 4.5* rating. Not for the under 18 readers but a nice evenings read.
I do not usually post bad reviews. However, in the interest of saving your time or money I will say I could not even get through the first chapter of this book.
The idea is one that is done again and again and again with good reason. It makes for a good story. Women is dissatisfied with her life and makes a drastic change by agreeing to wed someone whom she had only met through the mail. (This especially appeals to me since I pen pal.) What happens after that I could not say.
The writing style itself threw me off. This has happened before but very rarely do I not finish a book I have started. I think if this were rewritten, or edited differently, maybe it would have been a much better book.… (más)
