A narrative history detailing the Sioux Uprising of 1862, primarily from a white perspective.

This is a basic book on the Dakota War. It is only about 90 pages long, and does not go into great depth. As an introduction to the Dakota Uprising, Minnesota Indian history, or Indian wars, this book suffices. One of the best things about this book is it's collection of sources. This allows greater studies.½
