Only disappointment was the brevity of what I'd hoped would go more into this woman's mystical sufferings. However, for a scarce find on a medieval mystic and victim soul, I appreciated any information I could get. Of course, it is written by a priest of the Middle Ages, and the language and approach is of that time period in which, no doubt, lengthy writings were difficult to produce--if not to write with dip-quill on parchment, hard come by, surely. The life of Christina Mirabilis does invite commendation for her freedom to be as God created her, and as a specimen of one who was taken up into the mystical Catholic world while her body remained very much temporal.
