Be prepared for some serious highlighting and dog-eared pages (or many digital bookmarks if e-reading) by the end of this book. This is such a good read for those looking for the ultimate ‘glow-up’ - that’s what the kids are calling it these days, right?
Lizzy does a wonderful job of laying out the ground work and walking you thru her 12 Rebellious acts to improving the relationship you have with yourself. I appreciated her vulnerability in telling her story and thus showing how she did the work herself and the great results that followed. She reference some other pioneers in the healing community such as Louise Hay and helps expand on their methods for self love.
I realize this book is probably geared more toward a feminine audience but I would say the steps in this book will benefit any and all who read it. Self love or rather the lack of it seems to be a common trait among people these days. When learning to show kindness and love to ourselves we are in turn giving it back to the collective at large. There is no greater gift you could give yourself than that of unconditional love and this book is a good step in the right direction of learning how.
