T.J.P. Campbell

I have read many different variations of Pride and Prejudice and this one is definitely original and interesting! A great concept that is executed very well. The sci-fi/space opera twists are well thought out and interesting. There was humor and intrigue and so much to explore!My favorite line: “If anyone is going to give you a love bite, Darcy my dear, it will be me!” I laughed out loud. Mr. Bennett at the end was a little like Vizzini in Princess Bride explaining his mastermind, which also made me chuckle. There were portions that seemed very long and drawn out because everything is full of so much detail. I think this might benefit from some editing down. The characters are true to self but also new and adaptable to the storyline. Everyone gets their moment to shine. I feel like each chapter could be turned into an episode in a tv adaptation and I would definitely watch. There are more books in the series reinventing other classics that I’m very excited to see!
