This volume examines reasons for the persistence of barriers that block the full participation and advancement of underrepresented groups in the sciences and addresses how academic departments and universities can remedy the situation.
As someone who studies sociology, I really liked all the interviews and the way they were integrated in the book along with interviews and narratives from other papers. The interviews/points become a little repetitive towards the end, which made this book a little hard to finish, but definitely a good read and informative! I would buy and keep this on my shelf for future reading.
