The story is a darker adaptation of Cinderella. Ellery blames herself for Arbor's arrest, and Fairy Godmother Gardenia wants Ellery to assassinate Prince Zacharye in return for Arbor's release. Ellery encounters a lot of characters I fail to understand their relevance to the story. At the back of Ellery's mind, she will always want to save Arbor and needs to make tough decisions to achieve this. The story is ideal for teenagers.

The Flirtation Game: Castle Ridge by Allie Burton
Reviewed by Isha Coleman For Candid Reviews

As an avid reader I am always on the lookout for new authors. The Flirtation Game was my introduction to not only a witty author, but a flirtatiously innovative series. Reality meets actuality is my description of the rocky relationship between the scandalously talented Michael and the girl next door whose job he unwittingly pilfers. A reality show disrupts small time life, while opening up a new wave of possibilities. Ms. Burton puts a ton of heart in Michael and Isabella's romance. Once the heart is captured, there's no turning back.

Wow. Duality was okay for a teen romance, but it was really at the low end of things I'd be willing to read. I had hoped that Three Wishes would be the weak book of the set. Atlantis Riptide was spectacularly awful. I haven’t been able to bring myself to start the next book. There are six in total.½

*spoiler alert*
-FIRST READS WINNER-
Fascinating!
Lovely, beautiful cover design. I absolutely love Egypt themes and stories, so just had to read this. This story was quite intriguing and a smooth read. It had a great and unusual story idea with good surprises and twists and turns. So what’s the deal with Olive and Fitch? Would have liked a tiny prologue about that. Also, I don’t see a teenager saying “tush” or “bottom” lol.

*spoiler*- If she can evaporate the ocean (wave) when she fell in, why did the barn and hay not catch fire (when they slept there)?
-! It was a tad creepy that a male soul was being hosted by the FEMALE character O.o.
-I was quite happy with the ending, was worried for a moment there, wasn’t sure things would work out as nicely.
-So Tut was gone? How did the, “power of love” break the curse and set him free? So now that they are now soul mates and ‘connected’ they both share the power…huh..how?
-If all those statues were a Xander, what’s (oliva’s) Xander’s real name?

I had to drag out the last chapters, not wanting the book to end. Wonderful overall! I love the modern day twist to the Egyptian genre theme. So what’s next? Truly glad I had a chance to read this and explore this author’s work and worlds. Thanks, can’t wait for book two!!
5/5!
