Reseñas

A full-scale biography of Morande, who led quite a fascinating, even incredible life. He figures often in Robert Darnton's works, but Burrows has dug pretty deeply here and comes up with a more thorough treatment of the man.

There are some stylistic misses here, including inconsistencies in tense, some oddities in the presentation of translated titles, and a few other minor things. But overall, a very good biography of a truly unique historical character.
