An easy read book, probably only of interest to Boro fans if Im honest, charting one of the most unlikely runs in football history, lets be honest mentioning Middlesbrough and the Uefa cup final in the same sentence certainyl isnt something I would ever had envisaged doing in my life time. Twenty years earlier as a kid I'd seen Boro lose at home to chester in the old third division, so strangely getting a good hiding in the final didnt seem all that bad when I remembered that particular moment. The run contained two of the finest comebacks by any british team in Europe, ever and in years to come this book will probably be one of those publications i'll bore my kids with, confirming that little Middlesbrough really did do what the book says they did. A book which reflects a golden age for those who witnessed it and worthy of the 5 stars just for reminding me of that period in my life. The book charts the contributions and current whereabouts of the players that made the 86/87 season possible. Written by a local radio commentator who's heart is beyond question 110% behind the club, irrespective of your opinions on his ability as a commentator. Still my favouriite Middlesbrough team, despite the heroics of recent years. Thanks for the memories Ali!… (más)
