When Cam Galway prevents an Indian massacre of the occupants of a river boat, he finds himself accused of murder for he had to kill the white man who was leading the attack. He also meets the betrothed of his main accuser, Lieutenant Richard Thornwood who makes an immediate impression on him. Cam also has been a slave of the Shawnee and during that time created a child with an Indian maid.
The author creats a violent frontier with whites murdering natives and the natives doing the same. He also spends considerable time giving the reader the background on the culture of the Shawnee.… (más)
