With that bit out of the way, I want to say that I went into this audiobook with an open mind hoping for some lighthearted laughs. I stuck it out for two portions before I found myself intentionally not listening anymore and focusing on how moving furniture made different muscle groups feel. That's when I knew that I couldn't go listen any longer.
To be fair, I did chuckle a couple of times but it felt like I was actually listening to cranky 90 year-old people complaining in person. As if I was sitting with my great-grandmother when I was little and hearing about how rude people are now-a-days. Back in the 70s.
But that seems to be what the book is partly about. I just didn't get to much more because I needed to move on.
I appreciate the opportunity to give a listen for free and I'm sure other folks will enjoy the tales. I'm just not one of them.
