This book is a simple and reasonably good introoduction to Brazilian cooking. As in any other culture, some recipes printed in the book are not exactly as I remember them, but in a country as large and as diverse as Brazil differences are bound to exist. For some reason though, the book lacks several everyday dishes with chicken and beef that are routinely found in the Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro areas. It makes me wonder if the author is from the Northeast of Brazil.
