This has 2 page profiles of fruits that will grow in Florida. The profiles will describe what parts of Florida that plant will grow in, saw the good cultivars for the chill hours and humidity in Florida, and describe how big the plant/tree gets and how much spacing it needs. This is great for being able to look at fruit growing options, and plan out an ideal Florida orchard. You can find this info through IFAS, but this is still good for being able to see a shorter list of plants and then get the same kind of info about each. Also, this book is about home growing (ie. picking by hand and not having to move equipment around trees makes the kind of tree and the way you prune it different).

This book is focused on home growing, but I feel like sometimes for plant size and plant spacing, it is using commercial orchard info where it has the diagram of the plant with a silhouette of the plant next to a person. Some of these can be pruned smaller than the diagram, and the text will say that, but you have to read the text.

This is not just fruit trees. It's maybe half trees. You can see passionfruit on the front cover pic. The other half is fruits, like pineapples and passionfruit and stuff.

There are no vegetables in here. It's just fruit.… (más)
