Thanks to Library Thing's Early Reviewer's giveaway for the opportunity to win, read and review this book.

This book was chock-full of so much tennis information, tips and strategy to make someone like me play like a pro! Kudos to Nick Bollettieri on an amazing book! I will definitely be using this book when my family and I hone and practice our skills on the tennis court.

Coaching books are had to get through sometimes, but this one had some great pointers, wonderfully informative descriptions and even tons of blank and white pictures to help with technique and placement. Very thorough chapters on everything from holding the racket, how to stand, move for each stroke and even tips on being a doubles team. Great information all, the tennis player in the house has many questions answered using this as a reference guide.
Thanks LibrabyThing for the Early Reviewer Copy, sorry this is another book that I thought I had reviewed and didn't, well it is now.… (más)

Nick Bollettieri, has written a book that makes tennis easy to understand and learn. I admit that I have taking tennis lessons over the years but still consider myself a beginner. With the authors insightful explanations and the helpful pictures I really can see what coaches have tried, and failed, to get me to see before. I really recommend this book.

Outstanding coach, Nick Bollettieri, has written a book that a tennis coach should own, read, and refer to often. It would be a bit much for a beginner, though. The first few pages provide praise from some of the best in the game such as the Williams sisters, Haas, and Hingis. He covers diverse topics such as philosophy, athletic development, footwork, racket grips, forehand, backhand, serves, returns, net play and more. With the explanation, the reader will find pictures, court diagrams, and Nick's Tips. Each area also has various drills which can be used for tennis players from "10-and-under" to more advanced. The match simulation drills also provide scoring graphs. Bollettieri shares tidbits about some of the pros which add something special to the reading. This tennis handbook comes with a code for Online Video Access demonstrating fundamentals and commentary clips from former students. Nick Bolletteiri's Tennis Handbook is worth purchasing to a coach or a serious student of the game.
I received this book freely from the publisher.
