I really enjoyed THE OWL’S CROWN, the first book in a fantasy series set in Portland, Oregon. Lawrence Walsh is a vampire and undertaker at a funeral home. He receives a letter in the mail informing him that he will be the new scribe for the Owl King, and a tattoo burns itself into his hands. Evie is a witch and the newest owl king. The characters were really well drawn in this novel and the world building was really interesting, with cool Pacific Northwest vibes, a mystery where non-humans are fleeing Portland, and mysterious attacks against Evie that she and Lawrence have to figure out. I enjoyed the romance between the two leads, and also the urban fantasy plot. Will definitely read more in this series! 5/5 stars.… (más)
