The brightly coloured braids and ropes produced by tablet weaving can be put to many uses and the number of designs that can be made is limitless, affording great scope to the imaginative weaver. Ties, belts, and trimmings for clothes and upholstery are natural products of the form of weaving; and narrow bands of fabric can be joined together to make unusual bags and rugs.
