Ernest and Rebecca #1: My Best Friend is a Germ… por Guillaume Bianco
This book has controversy with in the family and Rebecca's best friend is a germ. This does teach about bacteria in a way a 10-13 year old would find cool. I do warn this is not for younger children and some parents might find it offensive, so to use it in a classroom read it first and be prepared to state the value in learning for the parents.
I'm not sure what this graphic novel is trying to achieve (or what audience it is trying to reach). If the author/illustrator was aiming for "weird manual for the budding sociopath/psychopath"...they hit the nail on the head.
