I should preface this review by saying that I'm all thumbs and so appreciate simplicity in designs, and my Bollywood knowledge is not what it used to be but that didn't stop me enjoying Bollywood Crafts. The book is a series of crafting recipes for giving ordinary home features a sparkly Bollywood style twist. The crafting itself is simple enough even for me but can serve as inspiration for creating new ideas. The chatty and informal style feels as though the author is talking and helping the reader through the book. The book is extremely colourful and engaging, even the pages themselves are attractive.

The book also contains a personal snapshot of Bollywood cinema. Introducing each project with a recap of a famous Bollywood film and what it is about that film that inspires the concept. Adorned with pictures and factoids of Bollywood legends I don't think there's a doubt that anyone who appreciates the glitz and glamour of Bollywood will appreciate this book.

For the interested maker of things, the list of recommended locations, retailers, and equipment included in the book is a real asset.

Anyone who likes making stuff will surely enjoy this. I gave a copy to a crafting friend who adores the book. The book should make an excellent gift to those who like to make, especially those who like bright, sparkly ideas or have any affinity to Bollywood.… (más)
