Theophilus Axxe

This as a rather strange and quirky sci fi story. It starts with a chemist being blackmailed to analyze a mysterious soil sample from another planet. Then all sorts of people get drawn in to weird things that are happening on that planet. People are dying and the whole intergalactic power structure may be undermined.

The writing has a bit of an old-fashioned feel to it, but it grew on me and by the end I really enjoyed it. The main strength of this book is the how the author takes one bizarre phenomenon on an alien world that has unfolded to have far reaching consequences, and lets the reader work their way gradually from where the characters are first effected by it to the core of the mystery that has changed their lives.… (más)
