My thanks to Elizabeth Aton for providing me with a copy of this book. I am giving my unbiased opinion of Unexpected in the following review.

What happens when a rock star meets his perfect girl and doesn't even know it? It was only one night, but for Ava and Whit it becomes so much more.

This was not your typical "rockstar" romance. We actually don't read about any of the usual concerts, groupies, or party scene that is par for the course in many rocker romances. Whit was pretty levelheaded and had his priorities straight as a single father. His problems and insecurities stemmed more from his family background than from the job. Ava never gave up in the face of adversity. She faced every day with determination. Her story was truly heartbreaking. I couldn't help but pull for her and hope for things to go her way for once. A lot happens in this book. I can't say that I was surprised by much of the story line, but I will say that it was very well written and thought out by the author. The progression of events is believable, and I was completely drawn into both characters' stories by the dual points of view. This is a very solid debut book for Elizabeth Aton and I look forward to the next book in the series.… (más)
