Octavia Atlas

After reading Vaironian Tales, I had to grab a copy of Ledani Moons. The story of Tolrek and Darion was so compelling, I wanted to know more. These are men I would like to have in my life, and watching their relationship grow and deal with the many challenges they face grabbed my attention and kept me reading. I especially like the travel to Tolrek's ancestral home and learning about the culture he never knew. I look forward to anything more Octavia Atlas cares to share about these fascinating men and their life together.

I received this book as an early reviewer from Book Sirens, and I'm so glad I did. It's been a while since I've read any gay themed science fiction, and if this book is any indication, the genre sure has changed--and for the better. The book is "science fiction" only in that it's set on a different planet--in a different galaxy than ours, and has scenes of interplanetary travel. Other than that, it's a pretty straight forward (no pun intended) male/male enemy to friend to lover romance. Well written to the point that I really want to get to know the two protagonists and spend time in their company. And as for pleasure reading? I couldn't put it down--even missing my favorite tv show to keep reading. Up at 3 am to keep reading. If you're a fan of male/male romance, with some hot sex scenes and even some SM action, I recommend this book highly. Can't wait to get my hands on book 2, Ledani Moons!… (más)
