The argument put forth is basically it is impossible that beauty (the arts) and/or morality have evolved as a result of selection. These ideas do nothing to advance the fitness of a species, so natural selection would not develop them. And, If these ideas come as the result of the random happenstance of atoms they can be nothing more than meaningless. They must have had causation.

This book is recommended by C.S.Lewis in, "Is Theology Poetry?", as a book too little read. Lewis covers the same basic material in the first 5 chapters of "Miracles", but does perhaps a bit better job.… (más)
