- In Boriska's Prophecy (1992), Alice Dunn Adler recounts that in 1938 a fortune teller told her she would encounter chaos and horror in her life but through perseverance, would triumph over both. She was a successful fashion designer and owner of an elegant Budapest boutique when she was arrested by the Nazis in World War II and deported to the Auschwitz and Tchopau camps. She survived forced labor and escaped from a moving death train. Afterwards, she contacted the French Resistance, and survived the war, later emigrating to the USA.
