Amy (Red) has started seeing Sean, a lycan. It is forbidden for a human and lycan to marry but they love each other to break that rule and fall in love. Sean visits her nightly. After one particularly heated night, she decides she wants Sean to take her virginity the next day. Her parents have other thoughts and lock her in a chastity belt to keep her from Sean. Her aunt who she was going to see the next day has the extra key. Will she give it to them? Will their love make up for being outcasts in society?

I enjoyed this story. It is an erotic retelling of Little Red Riding Hood. Amy and Sean are hot-blooded creatures who want to love each other. I liked them both. I like that Sean shows her what she can have. I was not happy with the parents or the aunt--hiss-worthy villains to be sure. I liked Sean's resolution to their problem of the chastity belt. I was upset with her thought process for a while. I was glad Sean was able to overcome it.

I look forward to more of this author's retellings.

This is another great bundle from Excite Spice! Varied selection of sub-genres by very talented group of authors. I really enjoyed the selections and it's a great way to sample the different types of bad boys and see what you really like.

This is the most interesting retelling of a fairy tale I've read in a long time.

The story itself is short and sweet and also a bit naughty, the perfect balance. The scenes between Sean and Amy are tender, yet they can also be rough, so it was good to see both sides of their sexual encounters rather than just having the story be tender and loving.

That being said, there are a few things that pulled me out of the story. One was the phrasing that the author used in some spots. She had Amy and Sean saying things like "Thunderballs! He's huge!" Or "Fire and fangs!..." in spots where they are really excited. While I understand that the purpose of these was to try and add a little bit of fun to the wording, it really took away from the story. I think these could have been left out completely and the story would be much more powerful and pack more of the intended heat.

Also, I didn't really care for Sean's shifting while they were being intimate. The thought of him entering Amy with his snout was just strange to me. So, when I came to those scenes I just tried to pretend he was human and hadn't shifted.


As for the characters, Sean is the perfect mix of bad boy and sweet guy all rolled into one, being forceful with her in some sections and yet letting her cry without questioning her in others. He's a really well balanced character.

Amy aka "Red" is sweet and naughty, being bold in showing off how much she wants to lose her virginity. But, I also found her to be a little bit weak at the same time, since she let her mother put a chastity belt on her without much more protest than "But what if I have to pee?" Since the story is so short though, there's not really too much room for massive character development so this is understandable.


I found it really interesting to read that there were elements of class and social issues written into the story with Red's mothers' bigotry against her and Sean being together. I haven't read too many erotic stories lately, but those that I have read don't usually have social issues inserted into the plot.

Overall, the story is short, sweet, and just the right amount of steamy for a quick read. I think that this might be fun to read with a partner.

Desert Wolf is book 1.5 in The Wolves of Twin Moon Ranch by [a:Anna Lowe|4241741|Anna Lowe|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1425070768p2/4241741.jpg]. Anna Lowe is a fantastic writer. Desert Wolf was a sweet short novella, thats fast-paced, with strong characters, and passion.

I liked this novella in The Wolves of Twin Moon Ranch. It takes us back to see Lana and Ty, 2 years into their mating, as they go and visit Lana’s family. It’s about a man, Ty, proving himself to his mate and her family. It had my attention from beginning to end.

I highly recommend this series to PNR fans who love werwolves, action, and heart-stopping romance.

Werewolf hero cheats on heroine after he's blackmailed into giving Red's aunt oral sex of a weird kind (inserts his shifted snout into her vagina while the rest of him remains human). Heroine catches him, tells him it's over and runs off. Hero proceeds to chase her and force her to give him oral sex, and by the sounds of it full intercourse.

Cheating, even in this case (to save Red from the stigma of dating a lowly werewolf), is a complete turn-off. His abusive (read: rapist) and possessive nature after Red rejects him for his infidelity sealed the deal.

In this short story of adult fairy tale erotica, “Red” Riding is tired of being a virgin. Her best bet is a lycan named Sean. He’s perfect. Crystal blue eyes, dimpled smile, buff chest, and wicked bulge! But being in a community that frowns upon human-lycan relationships makes loving Sean more challenging than she ever imagined.

I don’t want to tell you too much about the characters so that I don’t give away any of the story. Sean is a lycan in love with a human. He’s definitely an alpha with his confidence and disregard for social views to get what he wants. Let’s just say he is also very talented orally.

“Red” comes across as a naïve virgin in the opening pages. Don’t let her fool you, she knows what she wants and she wants Sean. (I mean who wouldn’t?) This is not the little Red Riding Hood we all grew up with. She’s all grown up and looking for a love that comes with passion. Red finds that love and it comes with plenty of steam.

Liz Adams has developed her characters well in this short story. I didn’t think you could get to know two people so well in a short fairytale, but I did. The side characters come across as real also, not just there for filler as in some stories I’ve read.

I love Liz Adam's erotic shorts! She can develop a real 3D character that the reader can feel and believe in with few words. For example, I felt Jonathan's pain over the actions of his shallow girlfriend's behavior. The way it wrapped up was just how I'd hoped. This is a well written, very hot, and steamy erotic short story. The characters are wonderful and I recommend this to anyone who is looking for a quick, good, and erotic read.

I liked it!
I liked the writing style. Goldie is quite a character, strong and daring in some ways, vulnerable and cute in others. She also has some amazing skills. In some ways her story reminded me of eroticized "Ocean's Eleven" or even "The Pink Panther". In short I liked the new interpretation of the concept of Goldie and her locks. Where they get her in the end seemed just a little over the top and too fast though.
The three men whose beds Goldie tries out are each in their own way yummy, although 'Ace' remains so much of a mystery that another chapter (or two) would have been welcome to explain his exact line of business and his lovelife before the librarian in relation to his current situation. And maybe another one that shows if the situation can be resolved. There's also some lines from Al in his encounter with Goldie that are a loose end, that may have made up a paragraph or two or an entire chapter.
This retelling of the old tale does not follow up on the outcome that the original had. I have to say, I would have preferred an ending more in line with the original. Then again, in this retelling there weren't any real or scary bears either, so... Apart from the abrupt and slightly over the top ending, I liked it.

What a different outlook on the age ole fairy tale story in a completely new light. When Hansel, a candy store owner, meets model Gretel they are in the works to make their own candy. But when a witch comes along hired to eliminate Hansel, can she do it or will she be drawn to the couple in other ways?

WOW!......Wow, what more can be said?
One sexual experience after another. No time to breath or recover from the last. Alice's journey to learning how to please herself and another is stimulating to say the least.
The story follows the original Alice in Wonderland with a twist. The characters are all there, although a different kind of crazy happens with each. Alice learns to give and receive with equal enthusiasm.
