Biografía breve
James Taylor Adams was born 1892 and raised in Alum Cove, Kentucky. He eventually married Dicey Roberts and the two had nine children, including a daughter Peggy Jo who passed away in infancy.
James Taylor Adams' works include a compilation of short stories his grandfather told him during his childhood "Grandpap Told Me Tales" [no longer in print].
He only had a second grade education, but worked to self educate and this hard work paid off, as he wrote, edited and published all of his own work. He owned a general store and a post office in the town of Wise, Virginia.
He passed away in 1954 of unknown causes.

Grandpap Told Me Tales_ Memories of an Appalachian Childhood Adams_ James Taylor - Dean_ Fletcher
Enjoyed listening to the various stories about the area. Especially liked the Johnnycake Boy.
Author makes you feel like you are right there experiencing the stories yourself.
I received this book from National Library Service for my BARD (Braille Audio Reading Device).
