It was nice to reminisce looking at a good history of my favorite NFL team, from their formation in the 1920's, until Eli Manning's rookie season in 2004. Since the book was published, the Giants have won two more Super Bowls.

I didn't read the book but I did look through it and right away found a major flaw. The first chapter covers the first 50 years of Dodger history and the second chapter covers the boys of summer. By the third chapter they are off to Los Angeles. That breaks down to about 40 pages of Brooklyn history and 240 pages of Los Angeles history. You can't use the excuse that the authors used more recent history because there are more pictures and it is an illustrated history. I know there are a ton of images of the Brooklyn Dodgers from before 1940 that are not in this book.

Being an uberfan's history of the White Sox through the years. The book's main strength is the numerous and well-chosen illustrations. Its main weakness is that he crams the entire pre-WWII period, basically half the team's lifespan at the time this was written, into one chapter, and a relatively sparsely illustrated one at that.
