Jessica Townsend is an Australian author, born in 1985. Her career includes working as a copywriter and an editor of a children's wildlife magazine. Nevermore: The Trials of Morrigan Crow (2017) is her first novel. It was a winner in several categories of the 2018 Australian Book Industry Awards, mostrar más Book of the Year, Book of the year for younger children (ages 7-13), and the Matt Richell Award for new writer of the year. Yep, really liked it. Lots of familiar tropes but fabulous world-building and excellently plotted and paced. Great characters. Looking forward to guzzling the rest of the series as a comfort read.

A great start to the Nevermoor trilogy. i love that we jump right into the story with Morrigan's life about to end an the adventure is non-stop from there.

Looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

Nevermoor: The Trials of Morrigan Crow por Jessica Townsend

This book had some Time Lord vibes, with the main character being whisked off to a magical realm full of wonder and giant talking cats and a Hotel that changes your room while you sleep. The characters were delightful and the adventure was high. There is a graveyard zombie chase and the bad guy a mass murder, but not much explanation or detail about what that entails.
